SC&T Youth Weekly Classes

Join us for 10 weeks of fantastic online classes starting Tuesday 17th January 2022!

With top class tuition in Beginner Melody with Rachel Campbell, Int/Adv Melody with Patsy Reid (All melody instruments are welcome!), Voice with Cameron Nixon, Guitar with Innes Watson, Pipes/Chanter with Malin Lewis and  Beginner Percussion with Steven Stark -  we have something for everyone! 


As well as learning great music from each tutor, all of the classes will also be working on a common tune to collaborate together for the end of term concert which shall be broadcasted to Music From Scotland.  You can see some of our previous collaborative sets here: 


The 10 week term is open to ALL abilities and instruments and suitable for anyone aged between 6 and 26. 

 The entire cost for all 10 lessons is £10.  If you are unable to pay this but would  love to be involved, please get in touch at youth@scottishculture.org.

  • How do I sign up to the SC&T Youth Weekly Classes?

    1. Sign up for your class (there are 6 to choose from!). If you've not used Thinkific before, you'll be asked to create a new account - keep those login details somewhere safe. 2. Start your course to complete Registration & Download the Information Document containing the Term dates and Zoom details - Keep this somewhere safe too! 3. Get EXCITED for the 7th September!

  • How much does the SC&T Youth Weekly Classes Cost?

    The SC&T Youth Weekly classes cost £10 for the whole term (this works out as £1 per class!) If you are unable to pay this but would love to be involved, please get in touch at youth@scottishculture.org.   • Where can I find the Zoom Details?

    Find and start your instrument course. You'll be asked to complete a few registration questions. Once Completed, you'll be taken to a lesson called Zoom Details & Information document, you'll see a downloadable PDF document with everything you need for the weekly classes. If you've already completed registration and are looking for the info document, log into your Thinkific account using the sign in button at the top right hand corner. Resume your instrument choice course and find the lesson called Zoom Details & Information document - you'll be able to download the document again.

  • I'd like to find out more about what is involved in a class?

    Head to www.scottishculture.org/youth to find out more about each class and tutor. You can find this information down the left hand side of the website. You can also email youth@scottishculture.org with any specific questions.

  • Why does my course have 14 lessons?

    There are currently 3 Welcome and Registration lessons to complete before the 18th January. And 10 lessons for each week of term. More will be added as the term goes on by your tutor.

  • I've already taken part in the SC&T Youth weekly classes before, can I take part again?

    Yes, absolutely! Our tutors will be teaching new material each term.
